1Nick Ordway is an award-winning freelance filmmaker and educator. He has written and directed numerous short films which have played at such festivals as The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival and the Williamsburg International Film Festival. Nick also works as an assistant director, sound recordist, and editor on various cinematic projects,most notably assistant directing the Oscar-winning short, God of Love. Nick has taught producing and cinematography at the Lee Strasberg Institute, taught editing at the Modern School of Film, and teaches writing and directing at the School of Cinema and the Performing Arts. He received his master’s in film from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts graduate film program—where he also received a Dean’s Fellowship and the Warner Bros. Production Grant for his film Monkey, Take Off Your Mask—and his bachelor’s in English literature and theatre from Princeton University. He is the recipient of Westport, CT’s 2011 young artist Horizon award. Prior to his foray into filmmaking, he taught English as a second language at Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He is currently at work developing his first feature, a rural noir.
